Being a Bank Worker

2018 Woman with carer at Birchwood Care Home
2018 Woman with carer at Birchwood Care Home

We recognise that not everyone is able, or wants, to take on a permanent contract.  That for some people, a flexible contract that enables them to work around children, caring for relatives, study or other commitments is preferable and gives them the freedom to manage a sustainable work life balance.

In those circumstances we offer bank contracts.  This means we will offer you shifts as they become available across our services and you are then free to choose whether those shifts suit your availability or not.

The offer:

  • Access to training to support you in your role
  • Increments annually to salary where performance is satisfactory
  • Regular good quality support and supervision sessions
  • Holiday pay incorporated into the hourly rate
  • A range of discounts offered to staff by local shops, cafes and health clubs
  • Access to opportunities for permanent contracts where available
